  • Welcome to Kindergarten! I am honored to be a part of your education this year. Below you will find information with links to help you get started on our learning adventure!

    • Communication - I believe in open communication & welcome you to contact me with any additional questions, celebrations, concerns, etc. by email. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response. I will communicate with you through email, weekly newsletters, and Canvas.

      • Weekly Newsletters and Course Calendars can be found on the Home Page in Canvas.

      • Canvas will be available starting Wednesday, August 3rd at 8:30 AM (use your child's school id and password to login).

    • The Student Learning Platform is Canvas. It will be our primary online learning management system used for asynchronous learning (prerecorded video lessons and learning tasks), which you’ll access from the DV Start Page.  Canvas will be a consistent place to access lessons with instructional content, student resources, and most assignments. 
      • In addition to Canvas, students will use the DV Start Page and Clever to access PowerSchools, HMH Ed & Amplify for reading, Dreambox for math, and Sam for district math assessments. We will also use various direct websites, such as Epic! and Xtra Math.  
    • Zoom will be used for our synchronous learning (live lessons and meetings) for whole group, small group, and individual learning.
      • This should be accessed through our Canvas “Home Page” using your student's DVUSD username and password.
    • Clever is a digital learning platform offering one friendly place for a single sign-on with your district username and password and also allows teachers to add various direct websites and resources for students to access from one location. Clever is accessed from the DV Start Page.
    • MyHours
      • Enter MyHours Attendance Daily/Weekly through Canvas: Kindergarten Time Requirement:  10 Hours Per Week
