The DVUSD adopted curriculum is Collections from HMH, and it focuses on the AZ State Standards for English Language Arts. It will be our main resource, but some supplemental material will be used as well. Assignments will be posted daily on Canvas - students may only work on that day's assignments and will not have homework - given that they are managing their time in our daily class period Monday - Thursday. ELA 5 and 6 are Junior level ELA courses which cover seminal U.S. documents among other topics. 

 HOW TO GET STARTED

Arrive promptly at 3:00 PM at the Barry Goldwater High School campus, Room TBA. We dismiss promptly at 5:45 PM,  Monday - Thursday beginning Tuesday, January 16th.  Please note that our final meeting will be Thursday, February 29th. This course is in-person only.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

Arrive with a good attitude. Ensure that your device is fully charged.  Be prepared to work on assignments without the distraction of your cellphone, and participate!
